HC Deb 01 December 1992 vol 215 c96W
Mr. Mullin

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what has been the cost so far of Sir John May's inquiry into the Guildford and Woolwich pub bombings.

Mr. Jack

Sir John May's inquiry was established in October 1989. Up to the end of October 1992, the inquiry had incurred expenditure of £1,357,000. Most of this expenditure relates to the Maguire case. The amount that can be attributed to the inquiry into the Guildford and Woolwich convictions can be identified only at disproportionate cost.
