To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assessment he has made of when the United Kingdom will meet the convergence criteria for EMU.

The Government are determined to ensure that the United Kingdom economy is able to meet the convergence criteria so that the United Kingdom can choose whether or not to move to the third stage of EMU.
