§ Miss WiddecombeBy a combination of increasing expertise and improved efficiency, the Contributions Agency is having increasing success in identifying the previously unregistered self employed. Accordingly my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, has raised the agency's 1992–93 target to identify those with class 2 liability from 40,000 to 70,000 persons. This will be a more challenging target for the agency's staff to meet.
