To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what percentage of the Employment Department group staff are on performance-related pay.

Mr. Jackson

Over 98 per cent. of Employment Department group staff are covered by performance pay arrangements; 30.2 per cent. have had pay awards under these arrangements.
