§ Mr. BaldryThe Government's White Paper "This Common Inheritance: The First Year Report", Cm 1655, published in September 1991 provides an up to date statement of our environmental strategy. Many issues affect the coastal zone, including those relevant to the marine or land environments, and the interaction between them. These issues relate to not only countryside but also climate change, land use and planning, heritage and the cleanliness of air, water and land, all of which are included in the White Paper.
