To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when his Department expects to complete and publish its review of options for increasing marine conservation.

Mr. Baldry

The first year report on "This Common Inheritance" (Cmnd 1655) says in paragraph 5.28:

"The Government will publish on a consultative basis by early 1992 a first list of proposed Marine Consultation Areas in England and Wales and draft Government guidelines addressed to regulatory agencies".
