§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total expenditure(a) budgeted for and (b) carried out under the minor works assistance provision of the home renovation grant system (i) between April 1990 and April 1991 and (ii) since April 1991.
§ Mr. YeoNo specific allowance is made for minor works assistance within the Department's overall provision for local authorities' expenditure on house renovation grants. Returns made by local authorities in England show that in the financial year 1990–91 total expenditure on minor works assistance was some £8 million, and in the first quarter of 1991–92 is provisionally estimated to be some £4.3 million.
