Mr. Cummings

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received concerning the new regulations on the labelling of cigarette products, whereby United Kingdom manufacturers are required to print warnings on cigarette packs larger than those required of importers.

My Department has received some representations on the subject of the Tobacco Products Labelling (Safety) Regulations 1991 from associations representing the tobacco industry and from within the industry.
