§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security (1) what guidelines he has issued to the Benefits Agency regarding the use of uniforms for counter staff at Social Security offices on(a) voluntary or (b) compulsory basis;
(2) what representations he has had regarding the provision of uniform clothing for use by counter staff dealing directly with social security claimants in the Benefits Agency.
§ Miss WiddecombeThe provision for corporate clothing to counter staff at social security offices is a matter for Mr. Michael Bichard, the chief executive of the Benefits Agency. He will write to the hon. Member and copies will be placed in the Library and the Public Information Office.
