To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the latest information he has about the number of people who are participating in(a) Action for Community Employment, (b) the youth training programme, (c) the job training programme, (d) the Department is currently funding an operational deficit; how much of the deficit his Department is carrying; and for what period.

My Department does not directly fund the operational deficits which arise from projects managed by non-departmental bodies. Such projects are financed by the non-departmental bodies themselves usually, but not always, from their grant-in-aid.
