To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many(a) homelessness inquiries, (b) homelessness cases and (c) accepted homelessness cases were referred to his office between January and June 1991, by district.

The information requested is given in the following table. Numbers of inquiries relate to all contacts made with local authorities regarding homelessness, excluding telephone inquiries. Those inquiries which become substantive are referred to as presented cases.
