To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he wil publish his review report on Her Majesty's inspectorate; and whether parents will in future have access to such reports as part of their entitlement to information under the parents charter.

As my right hon. and learned Friend told the House on 6 June and repeated on 14 November, the review was set up to provide confidential advice to Ministers and would not be published. The parents charter sets out our proposals for ensuring that parents have the best possible information about local schools. Our plans for school inspection will play an important part in the process.
