§ Mr. MacleanIn 1989 the Department analysed single pooled samples of human milk from both Glasgow and Edinburgh for dioxins and furans as part of a worldwide survey conducted by the WHO regional office for Europe. The results, which were similar to those reported by other western European countries, were published in a scientific paper, a copy of which has been placed in the Library.
