HC Deb 13 November 1991 vol 198 c615W
Mr. Macdonald

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what systems are currently being developed in the United States which could perform the role of(a) a NATO tactical air-to-surface missile and (b) a United Kingdom TASM; and if he will list them.

Mr. Alan Clark

There are two systems known to be at the development stage in the United States which might have technical characteristics suitable for either a NATO or United Kingdom TASM. These are the short-range attack missile (tactical) (SRAM-T) and the supersonic low-level air target (SLAT).
