To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will show both at 1991 prices and as a percentage of the total training budget, the amount allocated for training for people with special needs for each year since 1987.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will show what proportion of the budget for the TECs is allocated to provide training for people with special needs.

Mr. Jackson

The proportion of training budgets allocated to provision for people with special training needs is the responsibility of individual training and enterprise councils and is determined by local needs and priorities.
