HC Deb 11 November 1991 vol 198 cc409-10W
Mr. Bill Michie

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give, in relation to the European Commission's DELTA 91 programme(a) the names, organisations and areas of expertise of the members of each of the DELTA programme's technical evaluation committees, (b) the titles of the proposals which have been accepted for funding by the Commission and (c) the names of each organisation participating in each proposal.

Mr. Forth

The European Commission is responsible for the administration of the Telematics programme, of which DELTA 91 is a part. Member states have agreed to maintain confidentiality until the Commission publishes the results of the selection process. This is likely to be in December.

Mr. Bill Michie

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether the organisation appointed to act as DELTA 91 United Kingdom technical assistance unit made any bids for funds under the programme, either as a main contractor or as a partner; and how much the organisation which acted as DELTA 91 United Kingdom technical assistance unit was paid to provide that service.

Mr. Forth

Member states have agreed to maintain confidentiality about all applications to the Telematics programme, of which DELTA is a part. The DELTA 91 United Kingdom technical assistance unit was appointed after full competitive tendering, in line with public purchasing policy. The value of contracts are commercial in confidence and are not disclosed.
