HC Deb 23 May 1991 vol 191 c570W
Mr. David Nicholson

To ask the Attorney-General what representations he has received from those engaged in legal action against Wyeth on account of the harmful effects of the drug Ativan about the availability of legal aid; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

Neither I nor my noble and learned Friend the Lord Chancellor have received any representations about the availability of legal aid to pursue legal actions against Wyeth concerning the drug Ativan. The Legal Aid Board is responsible for the administration of legal aid in such cases and it is not aware of any difficulties over the legal aid arrangements.
