There are 20 permanent members of the Nuclear Weapons Safety Committee, 13 of whom are external to the Department.

§ Mr. McFall
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 25 March,Official Report, column 302, whether the continuous safety review has led to a revision in the estimated risk of unintended nuclear detonation of any weapon in the United Kingdom nuclear stockpile.
