To ask the Secretary of State for Energy how many representations he has received concerning the implementation of the first non-fossil fuel obligation order for electricity generation from renewable sources.

My right hon. Friend received a number of representations. These were taken into account by my right hon. Friend in deciding to make the next Renewables Order in the autumn of 1991; and by the Non-Fossil Purchasing Agency Ltd., and the Office of Electricity Regulation in deciding the project selection procedure for that order.
