§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list in theOfficial Report the number and sources of responses he has received to proposals for metricating the quantities in which whisky, gin, rum and vodka may be served for consumption on licensed premises; and if he will make a statement on proposals affecting other spirits and liqueurs and the timetable for any changes.
§ Mr. LeighI have received 39 replies to my Department's consultation paper from trade interests, consumer organisations, enforcement bodies and others. I am considering these replies and I shall be announcing my conclusions in due course.
