HC Deb 07 May 1991 vol 190 cc400-1W
Mr. Steen

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many planning applications for golf courses have been made to local planning authorities in each of the last five years; how many have been granted; how many have been refused; how many included a hotel; how many went to appeal; and, of these, how many were granted.

Mr. Yeo

Information about planning applications is not collected in a form which enables those for golf courses to be identified separately. The position on appeals involving golf courses is as follows:

1986–87 21(2) 14 2
1987–88 12(2) 17 6
