HC Deb 03 May 1991 vol 190 c340W
Mr. John Marshall

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been the role of the Crown Agents in providing emergency relief for Kurdish refugees.

Mrs. Chalker

The Crown Agents are playing an important part in procuring and delivering relief supplies to the relief organisations working in the region. They are currently supplying blankets, tents, clothing and food to a total value of just under £1 million on behalf of the European Community, the Overseas Development Administration, the British Red Cross and other charitable organisations.
