§ Mr. ScottWe have no plans for consultations on the largely procedural guidelines for visiting doctors—examining medical practitioners. We will, however, be consulting disability organisations and specialist groups in the near future on the guidelines for adjudication officers and the doctors who advise them, about the care and mobility effects likely to arise from different medical conditions. We shall also be consulting organisations about the self-assessment claim pack for disability living allowance which should enable many claims to be determined without the need for an examination by an EMP.
