(2) what further representations he has had on the need to maintain existing controls on the exportation of live horses and ponies after 1992; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacleanThe Government continue to receive many representations on this subject. In the Community negotiations, which are still at an early stage, the Government will continue to press for the continuation of controls which prevent the export of horses for slaughter.
