Mr. Strang

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many hectares of cereals are grown in England and the European Community, respectively(a) in each of the five years from 1986 to 1990 and (b) on average for the years between 1979 and 1981, inclusive.

The information requested by the hon. Member is set out in the table. The figures for the European Community are all for the Community as at present constituted minus the former German Democratic Republic, which joined after the 1990 cereals harvest.

Mr. Curry

The volumes and values of imports of products of dogfish and other sharks are given in the table. Information on fresh fillets, minced fish, livers and rose and other products are available.
