Mr. Cox

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the range of projects funded by urban renewal grant in the last year for which figures are available.

Mr. Key

In addition to the resources made available through local authorities' housing investment programme allocations and capital receipts, my Department provides specific resources under the group of urban and housing programmes as follows:

In addition, resources totalling £165 million are available in 1990–91 to help the homeless through local authority and housing association schemes, the rough sleepers initiative and grants to voluntary organisations offering advice and support.
