Mr. Cryer

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the negotiations regarding the city grant application to assist the development of the transport museum site at Low Moor, Bradford.

Mr. Key

There is as yet no city grant application for the Low Moor site. However, a proposal for a mixed leisure and commercial development on this site has been submitted to the Department for a preliminary view on its suitability for city grant. The proposal is currently under discussion between the Department's city grant team and the scheme's promoters.
