§ Mr. CurryNo official figures are available for the total equine population, but the department periodically collects information on horses kept on agricultural holdings in England and Wales. Figures for the years of collection giving the nearest match to the years requested, are shown in the following table:
That is nine reports fewer than previously indicated. I regret that the expiry of two product licences, for which the nine reports were received, had been overlooked.
I will be happy to approve any alternative preparations which meet the Medicines Act criteria of safety, quality and efficacy.
