Mr. Fearn

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions his Department has had with Kuwait's ambassador in London concerning the rebuilding programme in that country.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

We have brought to the attention of the Kuwaiti ambassador the range of experience and capabilities available from British industry to assist in the reconstruction of Kuwait. Similar action has been taken by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary with senior members of the Kuwaiti Government.
