The numbers of such dwellings available for letting at 31 March 1989 were published in table 10 of Statistical Bulletin HSU No. 13. Table 15 of Statistical Bulletin HSU No. 17 gives comparable figures for 1990. Copies of these bulletins are available in the House Library.
