Mr. Speed

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent talks have taken place with a view to restoring diplomatic relations with Albania.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

British and Albanian officials met in Rome on 5 and 6 November and in Geneva on 18 and 19 December to discuss outstanding bilateral issues, including the possible restoration of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Albania.
