To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the implementation of the urban programme, urban development grant, the programme for the valleys and the Cardiff Bay development corporation.

I am pleased to announce the publication of the 1988–89 annual report of the urban programme, urban development grant, programme for the valleys and Cadiff Bay development corporation. The report details the contribution these schemes are making towards alleviating the problems of economic and social deprivation in Wales. Copies of the report have been placed in the Library of the House.
