§ Mr. Nicholas BennettThe Department has written to the relevant district health authorities inviting them to submit substantiated claims for compensation for preparations made for possible receipt of Gulf war casualties. This is in line with undertaking given previously by the Government. South Glamorgan health authority has submitted a claim which is currently being considered by the Welsh Office.
