To ask the Secretary of State for Defence on what date the decision was taken to cancel the extremely low frequency radio system that had been proposed for Glengarry, Scotland.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what plans his Department has for a proposed extremely low frequency radio system to be sited somewhere other than Glengarry, Scotland.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what has been the total cost to date of the extremely low frequency radio system that had been proposed for Glengarry, Scotland; and from which subheads of which votes these funds were taken.

It is not our practice to give specific details of moneys spent on individual research programmes. The minimal costs associated with work to date have been borne on votes allocated for defence research.
