To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proportion of those employed in his Department are disabled.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The proportion of registered disabled staff currently employed in the diplomatic wing of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is 0.38 per cent. The proportion in the aid wing is 1.4 per cent.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office also employs a number of non-registered disabled staff but holds no statistics on them.
