HC Deb 27 June 1991 vol 193 c547W
Sir Russell Johnston

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the Highlands regional council concerning a survey carried out in 1990 with a view to the provision of a pedestrian crossing on the A96 at Fraser Park, Nairn.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

None. The findings of the survey carried out by Highland regional council in 1990 showed that the pedestrian-vehicle flows at this location fell well short of the figure required to meet the criteria justifying the provision of a crossing. I understand that the council plans a further survey in July this year.
