When they expect to publish their detailed written responses to the following reports by the Science and Technology Committee: Innovation in Manufacturing Industry (1st Report 1990–91, H.L. 18-I); International Scientific Programmes (2nd Report 1990–91, H.L. 25-I); and Science Budget 1991–92 (3rd Report 1990–91, H.L. 37-I).

The Government wishes to give careful consideration to the recommendations of the Select Committee's report onInternational Scientific Programmes and will publish its response as soon as possible.

With regard to the Select Committee's other two reports on the Science Budget 1991–92 and Innovation in Manufacturing Industry, the Government expects to publish shortly its responses to these reports.
