§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list, by year for the last 10 years, the countries which have made shipments of hazardous waste to England for disposal reported under the Transfrontier Shipment of Hazardous Waste Regulations.
§ Mr. BaldryInformation on the importation of waste by country of origin into the United Kingdom is available only since the introduction of the Transfrontier Shipment of Hazardous Waste Regulations in October 1988.
The information in respect of imports of waste for disposal in England for the financial years 1 April to 31March for 1988–89, 1989–90 and 1990–91 is shown in the following table.
