Countries receiving development assistance from the United Kingdom in 1989 which do not receive World bank loans or credits, either because they are not members of the institution or because they have satisfactory access to other sources of finance, are:

§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list in rank and order, according to their gross national product per head, the countries to which the Overseas Development Administration gives aid; and if he will give the amount of aid given to each country for the last year for which figures are available.
§ Mrs. ChalkerI refer the hon. Member to table 25 of "British Aid Statistics 1985–1989", a copy of which is in the Library of the House, which lists in order of GNP per head, gross British bilateral aid expenditure for each country in receipt of our aid.
