§ Mr. BowisTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the number of patients who were waiting(a) one to two years and (b) over two years for hospital treatment at 31 March 1991 and 31 March 1990 for the south-west Thames and south-east Thames regional authorities and for each of their London districts.
§ Mrs. Virginia Bottomley[holding answer 3 June 1991]: Information on numbers waiting for in-patient treatment as at March 1990 and at September 1990, the latest available information, is given in the table. Full details of waiting lists as at 31 March 1991 will not be available until September 1991.
In the 12 months to September 1990 the total number waiting more than a year for in-patient treatment fell by 6 per cent. in south-east Thames region and by 13 per cent. in south-west Thames region as a whole.
