To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the progress of his current peace initiative.

I refer my hon. Friend to the answer that I gave earlier today to my hon. Friend the Member for Dover (Mr. Shaw) and to the statement that I made on 26 March 1991 at column765–66 which set out the purpose and objective of the current talks process.
