To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what action is being taken to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in Britain.

The White Paper on the Environment. "This Common Inheritance", which was published last September describes Britain's strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sets out the first tranche of measures to curb emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
