§ Mr. ColvinTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he plans to change the pension rules so that expatriate Britons can have their pensions upgraded as they are in the United Kingdom; and how much such a move would cost.
§ Mr. JackAnnual pension increases are paid to United Kingdom pensioners living in 32 overseas countries. We have no plans to extend the payment of these increases to all UK pensioners worldwide. Such a move would cost £337 million a year at April 1991 rates of benefit.
