asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will support the readmission to membership of the International Postal Union of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Her Majesty's Government are sympathetic to applications from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for readmission to the Universal Postal Union. However, we are not able to support their membership until they fulfil the Universal Postal Union's criteria for membership, which is open only to members of the United Nations or other sovereign countries.
