To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what additional funding has been sought by ScotRail towards the cost of reopening the railway stations at St. Andrews and Tayport; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend has received no request from ScotRail for funding for the reopening of the railway stations at St. Andrews and Tayport. This would, however, be a matter for British Rail and the Department of Transport in the first instance.
