To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about the hostages in Lebanon.

We continue to make every effort to secure the release of the hostages. My recent visit to Lebanon and Syria was a further opportunity to work for this objective. We remain in close touch with all parties we believe may be able to help achieve the hostages' release and will continue to do so.
