HC Deb 24 July 1991 vol 195 c575W
Mr. Paice

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when he last met the chairman of British Nuclear Fuels Ltd.

Mr. Wakeham

I meet Sir Christopher Harding frequently and most recently on 22 July. Sir Christopher told me some months ago that he would like to give up the chairmanship at the end of his second term of office next year. I have decided that his successor will be John Guinness, currently permanent secretary at the Department of Energy. I should like to pay tribute to Sir Christopher's very real contribution to BNFL and the United Kingdom nuclear industry over his five years in office and to wish him well for the future.
