To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the balance between food imported to the United Kingdom from Europe and food exported to Europe from the United Kingdom.

In 1990, the United Kingdom imported food, feed and drink from Europe, including Turkey, valued at £8.6 billion while exports to Europe were £4.2 billion.
