To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment which flags were being flown on 10 July on the Treasury building, Whitehall; and if he will make a statement about the reasons why each of these flags has been selected.

On 10 July four union flags were flying on the Treasury building as part of the preparations for the London economic summit. Since then other flags of the United Kingdom, the armed forces and the G7 flag have been added in accordance with Her Majesty's command.
