To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what is the value of the oil reserves known to be under Poole bay.

Mr. Moynihan

The operator estimates that recoverable reserves within the Poole bay licence are some 100 million barrels of oil. At current prices this would be worth around £1.2 billion.
